I really think it’s about time we had a fully functioning police station back in Kenilworth.
I dont really understand your point? We have a police base in Kenilworth with five personnel across extended shift patterns plus emergency an police response team for Kenilworth 24/7. The physical presence of “a police station” in its historical form does nothing to deter, prevent or detect crime. Documents no longer are required to be manually checked at a station and the cost of resourcing a front counter abstracts staff from policing duties. The right focus is through an intelligence gathering Neighbourhood policing team which Kenilworth has and targeted policing activity based on events, reports and intelligence. Kenilworth is a low crime level area when compared to places like Wawick and Leamington Spa.
Appolagies Frazer, I didn’t realise that we still had that facility.
