River levels have peaked at the Kenilworth river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible. Flooding is affecting low-lying land and roads adjacent to River Sowe between Bedworth and Baginton, River Sherboune between Allesley and Whitley, Canley Brook between Tile Hill and Canley and the Finham Brook at Kenilworth.
The Environment Agency (EA) expect river levels to remain high as a result of the heavy rainfall.
The EA are closely monitoring the situation. EA incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and stay aware in case further warnings are issued.
Currently the ford near to Kenilworth Castle is impassable, the ford at Rouncil Lane is impassable to cars and flooding on the Birmingham Road between Beehive Hill and Red Lane is reported with drivers requested to travel very slow to avoid causing a swell with the potential to flood nearby properties.
