Severn Trent are advising that for those customers who have not had their water supply restored yet and are still without a water supply that supplies could be back on earlier than was expected although the supply may be intermittent for a little while.
Severn Trent engineers are continuing to repair a burst water main in the Kenilworth area. Severn Trent are advising that they are confident the repair will be completed by midnight.

Thank you for resolving the issues affecting Kenilworth water supplies in an efficient way by establishing the cause and repairing same in a relevantly short time. Despite the inconvenience caused, such incidents are unpredictable but the way in which they are resolved is paramount – thanks for the efforts of all the maintenance staff. It was also appreciated that customers were kept informed via various sources.

Please see the positive reaction from customers across Kenilworth following yesterday’s burst train main that caused an unplanned interruption until it was isolated and the area rezoned.
Judith Hall’s comments are representative of several comments we have received from customers this morning.
The ST texting service, and ST website works extremely well in these circumstances, especially when as yesterday they are updated regularly.
I operate the Kenilworth Watch website that automatically emails over 1,500 homes across the town when it updates and it also links in with the main Social Media site for the town “Kenilworth Vibes” which gets to over 10,000 people across the town. We used these mechanisms to keep people informed and minimise ignorance that can feed to cynicism and undue complaint.
Please pass on the thanks of the Kenilworth community to Network Control and to the repair crews and DST’s that worked over their Saturday evening and night to restore service promptly and repair the trunk main.
