Car Key Burglary nets two vehicles – Kenilworth

Please be aware that at approximately 0230hrs on Wednesday 20 November 2024 offender/s snapped the locks on a rear door of a home at Birches Lane, Kenilworth. The offender/s then entered the property and located the keys to a BMW Z4 motor vehicle and a BMW 330 series motor vehicle. The offender/s then stole both vehicles.

This is crime reference 23/49576/24

This latest event reinforces the benefit that anti snap locks can have on deterring and preventing crime. We will share more information on anti snap locks in a further post soon.

  1. Speaking as the victim, I was amazed how easy it was for the thieves to gain access to the house. The double glazed doors are sold as being secure but the locks are so weak that they can be snapped very easily. We now have the 3* anti-snap locks fitted throughout.
