Crime Spree continues in Kenilworth

Warwickshire Police have notified Crown Watch that further crimes have been committed around Kenilworth. Residents are advised to remain vigilant, review their security arrangements and report anything they consider suspicious.

Burglary, Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth

Between Sunday 15/01/17 from approximately 16:00hrs and Monday 16/1/17 until 9:15hrs. Persons have gained access to a locked yard area in Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth and gone into an insecure garage and stolen a quantity of items.

Vehicle Crime, Guy Road, Kenilworth 

Between 1930hrs Monday 16-JAN-2017 and 0710hrs Tuesday 17-JAN-2017 unknown offender(s) forced entry into a white ’55’ plate Vauxhall Vivaro van that was parked on the drive of a residential property on Guy Road, Kenilworth. Offender(s) stole a SatNav and bag plus contents.

Vehicle Crime, Webster Avenue, Kenilworth 

Between 2000hrs Sunday 15-JAN-2017 and 0900hrs Tuesday 17-JAN-2017 unknown offender(s) forced entry into a blue Ford Transit van that was parked outside a residential property on Webster Avenue, Kenilworth. Offender(s) stole audio equipment.

Shed Burglary, Watling Road, Kenilworth 

Shed Burglary: Between 1200hrs Monday 16-JAN-2017 and 1100hrs Tuesday 17-JAN-2017 unknown offender(s) forced entry into a secure wooden shed at a residential property on Watling Road, Kenilworth. Nothing was stolen.

New Year Crime Spree hits Kenilworth

KENILWORTH residents are being advised to review their security measures at home and with their vehicles as the town has been hit by six events in the past few days. Crown Watch recommends residents to review the level of security and deterrent that exists around their property.

Warwickshire Police would like to hear from anyone that might have heard or seen something suspicious in relation to the following crimes. Please contact the police using the 101 service.

Incident 53 of 13 January – During the night of 12 into 13 January, offenders stole the number plates from a Hyundai vehicle parked outside a home in Clinton Lane, Kenilworth.

Incident 65 of 13 January – During the same night, offenders stole both number plates from a vehicle parked on the roadside in Denton Close, Kenilworth.

Incident 89 of 13 January – On the evening of 12 January, a male offender broke into a Ford vehicle parked on the driveway of a home in Clinton Lane, Kenilworth. A witness spotted the offender sitting in the vehicle and disturbed him, causing the offender to run from the scene. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Incident 59 of 13 January – During the same night, offenders stole a Peugeot Boxer van, containing power tools, hand tools and equipment from the roadside in Windy Arbour, Kenilworth.

Incident 270 of 15 January – During the afternoon of 15 January, offenders broke into a home in Grange Avenue, Kenilworth through a first floor front bedroom window. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Incident 100 of 16 January – During the night of 15 into 16 January, offenders entered the secure yard of a home in Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth and then entered an insecure garage to steal a welding set, a petrol hedge trimmer, two petrol chain saws, a small generator and a Booster battery charger.

Kenilworth Shop Burglary

During the night of Tuesday 10th January into Wednesday 11th 2017 offenders forced open the double glazed door of a shop on Warwick Road in Kenilworth. Once inside they carried out an untidy search and stole various items.

Mindless Vandalism at Abbey Fields

Shame to see this sort mindless vandalism taking place at Abbey Fields, it does nothing for our town.

The pavilion near to the play area and tennis courts has been smothered in graffiti.

Burton Green Burglary

Burglars were at work around Kenilworth at New Year. Between 7pm and 10pm on 31 December, offenders entered a home in Red Lane, Burton Green, through the rear patio doors.

Once inside the house, the offenders carried out a search of all rooms before making off with a safe and contents. The offenders are believed to have been disturbed and left the way that they entered the premises.
