Thefts from Motor Vehicles – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 1930hrs on Friday 27 October and 0930hrs on Saturday 28 October 2023 offenders have approached a white VW Golf GTD TDI S motor vehicle that was parked at Castle Grove (off Forrest Road), Kenilworth. The offenders have removed the bonnet of the vehicle and other engine parts leaving the vehicle unsafe. They also damaged the nearside wing mirror.

Please be aware that between 2200hrs on Friday 27 October and 0800hrs on Saturday 28 October 2023 offenders have approached a white VW Golf motor vehicle that was parked in the overflow car park of Kenilworth Castle (opposite Castle Green), Kenilworth. The offenders have remove parts from the engine of the vehicle, including the vehicle’s bonnet and the vehicle wing mirrors have been smashed.

Attempted Burglary – Kenilworth

Please be aware that overnight between Tuesday 24 October and Wednesday 25 October 2023 offenders have tried to force the rear door of a property at Malthouse Lane, Kenilworth. As a BMW motor vehicle was parked at the property this may have been an attempt to break in and locate the vehicle’s keys to steal it.

Burglaries – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between Friday 20 October and Saturday 21 October 2023 offenders have prised open kitchen windows on three new build properties at Crewe Lane, Kenilworth. The offenders have entered the properties and removed and stolen three boilers.

APPEAL – Pedestrian injured in Kenilworth

Witnesses are being urged to come forward following a collision in Leyes Lane, Kenilworth.

The incident, involving what is believed to be a red or burgundy car, and a pedestrian, happened at 3.40pm on Wednesday 18 October 2023.

A 12-year-old girl suffered minor injuries to her head and leg.

The vehicle is reported to have left the scene following the collision.

Enquiries into the incident are underway and police officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision. Drivers with dashcam are also asked to check for footage that may assist the investigation.

Mercedes Benz Vehicle Thefts

There have been a number of Mercedes Benz stolen across Warwickshire this week, including two such thefts in Kenilworth. Consequently Warwickshire Police have tasked their officers to pulling over any Mercedes Benz vehicles they maybe they’re suspicious about.

So if you are a driver of a Mercedes Benz vehicle please don’t be offended if you are asked to stop, police officers will simply want to check everything is in order.

The recent vehicle thefts are being investigated. In the meantime, if you own a Mercedes Benz motor vehicle please take extra precautions to protect your vehicle.
