This is the third event within a week of vehicles being targeted by thieves in Kenilworth using keyless entry interception devices. The first attempt at Priorsfield Road, failed because the vehicle owner used a Faraday Box to prevent the interception of the keyless signal from the vehicle keys. The second incident at Harlech Close and this third incident at The Wardens have succeeded, most likely because the offender(s) have been able to access the vehicle key signal using an interception device.

“Box Em and Fox Em !…”

The failure of criminals to steal a vehicle with a keyless entry system from a property at Kenilworth in the early hours of Monday, 17 March 2025, was due to the vehicle owner and householder using a “Faraday Box”.

The Faraday Box, a highly effective security measure, works by stopping and blocking aerial interception devices that organized vehicle thieves use to intercept signals from vehicle keys. If the criminals cannot obtain a vehicle’s key signal whilst the keys are inside the property using an aerial interception device, they cannot start or gain entry to the vehicle.

For vehicles with keyless entry systems, the solution is simple: get a Faraday Box. Establish a routine with your vehicle keys-put them in the box inside your home and keep the box handy but not easily discoverable. This straightforward practice can significantly enhance the security of your vehicle.

So when it comes to your vehicle keys, Box Em, and with vehicle thieves, you will Fox Em! Likewise, when it comes to Car Key Burglary, you can thwart entry by ensuring all your external doors are fitted with anti-snap locks, a highly effective security measure that provides peace of mind and frustrates criminals.

The event on Monday, 17 March, at Kenilworth is a powerful demonstration of how vehicle owners can protect their vehicles and homes by following simple steps and obtaining the most effective deterrent products. The more criminals face frustration from vigilant homeowners using Faraday Boxes and anti-snap locks, the less likely they are to target areas like Kenilworth.
