Vehicle Theft – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 2030hrs on Friday 7 March and 0730hrs on Saturday 8 March 2025 offender/s have smashed a window on a silver coloured Toyota Hi Lux pick up vehicle and then stolen the vehicle from the private drive of a property at Highland Road, Kenilworth. The vehicle’s registration ends in KKV.

The keys were not taken so an element of this theft may have involved the use by the offenders of a keyless interception device.

This is incident 0046 of 8 March 2025.

 We would like to reiterate to everyone and highlight the need to take extra precautions and deterrents to protect high value motor vehicles that are the subject of interest by criminals.

Kenilworth Watch advises;

  • The use of visible robust steering locks such as Milenco or Disclok.
  • Ensure any keys with a remove unlocking ability are placed in a Faraday box or pouch within the home.
  • Do not leave vehicle keys close to a front door or on show within a property.
  • Change door locks on your property to Anti Snap Locks which is a major deterrent to potential intruders
  • Consider CCTV coverage where a vehicle is parked that alerts if movement in the area is detected.
  • Fit a tracking system to the vehicle if one was not fitted when the vehicle was manufactured.

Burglary & Suspicious Activity – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 0245hrs and 0300hrs on Wednesday 5 March 2025 suspicious persons were seen on a private drive at a property on Windy Arbour, Kenilworth. The individuals were showing undue interest in parked vehicles and had no business being on the drive at the property.

Please be aware that between 0315hrs and 0330hrs on Wednesday 5 March 2025 offenders have blocked security lights, scaled a garden gate and broke the window to obtain access to a detached garage at a property on Rawnsley Drive, Kenilworth. It is believed they may have been disturbed as they left with nothing stolen.

Warwickshire Police would be interested in any CCTV that any householder/property owner has that has any CCTV which has recorded persons overnight on 5 and 6 March 2025 in and around properties or loitering in residential areas etc. If you have any such footage please contact Warwickshire Police on 101.

Keyless Vehicle Theft

Please be aware that at approximately 0225hrs on Monday 24 February 2025 a Black BMW X5 motor vehicle was stolen from a property at Grange Avenue, Kenilworth. 

The vehicle was stolen without keys and there is evidence that a keyless interception device was used to access and steal the vehicle.

Cultivation of Cannabis – Radford Semele

This morning (Sunday 16 February 2025), officers from Warwick Rural East Safer Neighbourhood Team along with other police officers from Warwickshire Police attended School Lane, Radford Semele.

Two individuals were located inside the property. A quantity of cannabis plants in varying stages of development were on display, along with some “DIY electrics”.

Cultivating cannabis can be very dangerous. Apart from it being illegal and the potential risk some individuals may pose but there is also an increased fire risk due to hazardous and unlawful adaptations to the electrics and electricity supply..

Two individuals are currently in custody, helping Warwickshire Police with their enquiries.

Burglary – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between Wednesday 5 February and Wednesday 12 February 2025 offender/s have gained entry to a property at Bullimore Grove, Kenilworth by smashing a rear upstairs window from the roof of a conservatory.

It is not clear at this stage, what, if anything, has been stolen.
