Ford Fiesta’s targeted by Vehicle Thieves in Kenilworth

Vehicle owners are being advised across Kenilworth to ensure they take all reasonable steps to keep their vehicles secure at all times following two vehicle thefts within minutes of one another in the town.

Please be aware that between 21.30hrs and 21.55hrs on Monday 1 June 2020 offenders stole a Ford Fiesta motor vehicle that was parked on a private drive to a property at Clinton Lane, Kenilworth. A silver grey Volkswagen Polo was involved with the theft being driven by a second person. The stolen vehicle made off towards the town centre.

Please be aware that between 21.30hrs and 21.55hrs on Monday 1 June 2020 offenders stole a Ford Fiesta motor vehicle from a private drive on Fishponds Road, Kenilworth. One of the offenders was wearing a grey balaclava with a blue hoody jacket and was about 6ft 2” tall and well built. A second offender was described as wearing a black balaclava with black hoody jacket was about 6ft and of slim build. The stolen vehicle made off along Brookside Avenue, Kenilworth.

Kenilworth Residents advised about Doorstep Callers

Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team are currently receiving reports of door to door sales people operating in Kenilworth.

Householders are advised not to buy goods from these people, or feel the need to open the door to them, they have been advised to leave the area by Safer Neighbourhood Team.

 

Kenilworth Vehicle Speed Awareness Campaign started…

Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team were conducting speed checks as part of the NPCC speed campaign earlier today on Glasshouse Lane. As a result a number of drivers were stopped and spoken to in relation to their speed, and offered words of advice.

Further speed checks are planned and will be conducted over the next few days across Kenilworth so drivers have been warned.

Suspicious Vehicles – Burton Green, Kenilworth

Residents are advised to remain vigilant at all times particularly for vehicles acting suspiciously in the Burton Green area of Kenilworth. In the past few days there have been reports of white Ford Transit type van touring and parking up in the area with occupants showing undue interest in properties.

Witnesses sought following arrest for Robbery that took place at Kenilworth Ford, Kenilworth

Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team arrested a male on suspicion of robbery on Tuesday evening 26 May 2020 following the robbery of bicycle from a minor that took place near Kenilworth Ford, Castle Road, Kenilworth. Following the robbery, the victim made his way to the Beehive Hill/Priorsfield Road area of Kenilworth where he raised the alarm called the police. The stolen bicycle was recovered.

Warwickshire Police are interested to hear from anyone who may have been around Kenilworth Ford area, Castle Road, Kenilworth between 15.30hrs to 16.30hrs and may have seen or witnessed anything. The suspect was described as wearing a navy blue tracksuit with a white hood and black Nike trainers.
