Theft – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 1445hrs and 1600hrs on Monday 2 December 2019 offenders removed the lock and broke into a van that was parked at the Queen & Castle Car Park, Castle Green, Kenilworth. A quantity of power tools were stolen.

“Bag Dipping” Thefts & Bicycle Thefts – Kenilworth

Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team are advising people to be extra vigilant in the run up to Christmas as opportunist thieves have been operating in the town over the weekend. The warning comes as wallets and purses have been stolen from shoppers and bicycles have had their security locks broken and have been stolen from the town centre of Kenilworth.

“BAG DIPPING” THEFTS

Please be aware that there have been a number of thefts in Kenilworth Town Centre. On Friday 30 November 2019 offenders have taken a purse left unattended for a short while in a handbag on a mobility scooter that was inside retail premises at Warwick Road, Kenilworth.

A quantity of cash and bank cards were stolen. 

This is incident 254 of 30 November 2019 

On Saturday 1 December 2019 offenders stole a wallet from a shoulder bag being carried by an individual who was inside retail premises at Talisman Square, Kenilworth.

A quantity of cash and bank cards were stolen.

This is incident 140 of 1 December 2019 


BICYCLE THEFTS

Please be aware that between 1400hrs and 1700hrs on Friday 30 November 2019 offenders have stolen a black Carrera bicycle and a gents orange mountain bicycle that were securely locked at The Square, Kenilworth. A group of four individuals were witnessed, one at least riding one of the stolen bicycles, riding towards Coventry via The Greenway and Warwick University.

Attempted Burglary & Suspicious Male – Kenilworth

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

Please be aware that between Friday 22 November and Friday 29 November 2019 offenders have tried to break into a property at John O Gaunt Road, Kenilworth by trying to force the rear aluminium patio doors. The offenders were unable to gain entry.

SUSPICIOUS MALE

Please be aware that a vigilant property owner disturbed a male at around 22.00 hrs on Friday 29 November 2019. The individual was dressed in a black puffer jacket and black tracksuit bottoms and was seen at the side of the property in Elmbank Road, Kenilworth. The property owner verbally challenged the individual who made off towards Berkeley Road.

BURGLARY

Please be aware that between 15.30hrs and 22.15hrs on Thursday 28 November 2019 offenders have forced an upstairs window at a property at Red Lane, Kenilworth. The offenders have gained entry to the property and made an untidy search. A quantity of cash was stolen.

THEFT

Please be aware that between 19.15hrs and 20.30hrs on Thursday 28 November 2019 offenders have smashed the front passenger window on a BMW Mini Motor Vehicle that was parked at the Queen & Castle Car Park, Castle Hill, Kenilworth. A number of items that were visible in the vehicle, including handbags and purses and a camera were stolen.

Criminal Damage – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 0800hrs and 15.30hrs on Tuesday 26 November 2019 offenders have pulled off a rear windscreen wiper and dented an Audi motor vehicle parked at Red Lane, Kenilworth.
