“Cold Callers” Warning – Kenilworth

Residents across Kenilworth are advised that there have been several incidents in the past few days within the town where individuals have been knocking doors and trying to sell goods from a holdall. Typically the caller shows a card or permit to the householder that suggests they are ‘approved’.

These individuals are NOT approved in any sense.

Often these cold callers arrive in a van and ‘work’ a part of the town for several hours. They are usually from some distance away.

Warwickshire Police advise householders NOT to buy goods on the doorstep or to let cold callers into their home for any reason.

If you care for or live with a vulnerable or elderly person please make them aware of this advice

We would encourage anyone who is visited by these type of cold callers to let us know as soon possible, preferably with a description, by calling Warwickshire Police on 101.
