Attempt Burglary & Theft – Kenilworth

ATTEMPT BURGLARY

Please be aware that at around 01.20hrs on Saturday 28 September 2019 offenders attempted to break into a property at Windy Arbour, Kenilworth. The offenders snapped the lock of the front door of the property and attempted to enter by forcing the rear door, the offenders were unsuccessful. It is believed they may have been seeking the keys to motor vehicles on the drive of the property.

THEFT

Please be aware that between 20.00hrs on Thursday 26 September and 07.15hrs on Friday 27 September 2019 offenders have have damaged the drivers door lock and entered a Ford Transit motor vehicle parked at Clinton Lane, Kenilworth. The offenders have stolen items from the cab and also attempted to start the vehicle by damaging the ignition barrel.

Warning issued by Action Fraud regarding Thomas Cook ‘refund’ scams are on the rise

Members of the public have reported receiving calls and messages offering “refunds” by people purporting to be associated with, or acting on behalf of Thomas Cook.

We would urge people to be vigilant of unsolicited calls, texts or social media messages that ask for personal or financial details, and not to automatically click on the links in unexpected emails.

Legitimate organisations will never contact you out of the blue and ask for your PIN, card details, or full banking passwords. If you get a call or message asking for these, it’s a scam.

Remember, your bank or the police will never ask you to transfer money out of your account, or ask you to hand over cash for safe-keeping.

Vehicle Registration Plates Stolen – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between Monday 23 September and 10.00hrs on Wednesday 25 September 2019 offenders have stolen the vehicle registration plates from a Volvo motor vehicle parked at Clarendon Road, Kenilworth.

Burglary & Attempted Burglary – Kenilworth

ATTEMPT BURGLARY

Please be aware that between 21.30hrs and 22.15hrs on Saturday 21 September 2019 offenders tried to force the rear kitchen door and break into a property at Hodgetts Lane, Kenilworth.

BURGLARY

Please be aware that between 08.15hrs and 18.30hrs on Monday 23 September offenders have entered the rear of a property at Elizabeth Way, off Castle Hill, Kenilworth and have scaled a flat roof to gain access to the inside of the property by means of a bedroom window.

Once inside the property the offenders carried an untidy search and a number of items of jewellery was stolen.

Theft & Attempt Theft – Kenilworth

LADDER THEFT

Please be aware that between Sunday 1 September and Friday 20 September 2019 offenders have stolen a three section ladder that was bolted to the side of a property at Mill End, Kenilworth.

ATTEMPT THEFT

At some time between 18.00hrs on Friday 20 September and 11.00hrs on Saturday 21 September 2019 offenders have tried to force the rear doors of a Vauxhall Vivaro van parked on the road at Suncliffe Drive, Kenilworth. The offenders caused damage the vehicle but were unable to gain access to the interior of the vehicle.
