Attempted Burglary, Theft & Suspicious Activity – Kenilworth

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

Please be aware that around 19.00hrs on Tuesday 26 February offenders smashed the rear kitchen window of a property at Willoughby Avenue, Kenilworth but did not gain access to the property which was alarmed.

THEFT

Please be aware that between 14.30hrs and 18.45hrs on Saturday 2 March 2019 offenders have stolen the vehicle registration plates from a red Ford KA motor vehicle parked at Clinton Lane, Kenilworth.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

Kenilworth residents are advised to remain vigilant and review their home and vehicle security. At around 01.30hrs on Monday 4 March 2019 three males dressed in hoodies were witnessed acting suspiciously around motor vehicles in the Priorsfield Road area of Kenilworth.

Attempted Burglary & Criminal Damage – Kenilworth

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

Please be aware that between 01.30hrs and 02.00hrs offenders have attempted to break into commercial premises situated on Warwick Road, Kenilworth by drilling through a rear wall and punching loosened bricks out onto the floor. Alarm systems operated and offenders did not gain access and made off.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE/VEHICLE INTERFERENCE

Between 15.00hrs on Thursday 21 February and 07.45hrs on Friday 22 February 2019 offenders have stolen the glass and parts from a set of wing mirrors belonging to black VW Polo parked at Brookside Avenue, Kenilworth.

Car Key Burglary, Whitemoor Road & Theft, Pipers Lane – Kenilworth

Car Key Burglary 

Please be aware that between 18.30hrs on Thursday 14 February and 17.45hrs on Friday 15 February 2019 offenders have forced the rear door to a property at Whitemoor Road, Kenilworth and stolen the keys to a blue BMW 320E parked on the property driveway. The BMW was then stolen.

Theft

Please be aware that between 15.30hrs on Friday 14 February and 08.00hrs on Saturday 16 February 2019 offenders have climbed over high fencing into premises at Pipers Lane, Kenilworth and have stolen a large quantity of used 12 volt motor vehicle batteries.

Class A drugs seized & Arrests made at Gibbet Hill, Kenilworth

Two men, aged 40 and 37, were arrested on suspicion of drug offences after officers stopped their car near Kenilworth yesterday (Thursday 14 February) afternoon.

Officers from the Warwickshire Police Operational Policing Unit (OPU) seized cocaine, cannabis, cash and phones from the men after they stopped the car in Gibbet Hill.

The men were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs.

PC Dave Findon from the OPU said: “We are committed to tackling and disrupting drug-related crime in the county and regularly stop vehicles we suspect are involved in this type of crime.

“The public has a key role to play in helping us to tackle the issue of drugs in Warwickshire. They are our eyes and ears on the ground and can help us by reporting suspicious behaviour.”
