Tesco Robbed in Leyes Lane – did you see anything?

At about 10.30pm on Thursday 19th August 2010 the Tesco Express store in Leyes Lane, Kenilworth was robbed by 2 men who took cash after threatening the staff.

The offenders were 2 males wearing black hoodies, black tracksuit bottoms and black scarves.
If anyone has seen similar described persons loitering in the area at around this time and can add any further information please can they contact the Warwickshire Police on 01926 415000.

The West Midlands Police Flight Path Protection Team at Birmingham International Airport needs you to keep an eye out for a Dark Blue Ford Mondeo estate bearing Belgium number plates ‘UVB 348’.

Please note this vehicle may be in your area for perfectly legitimate reasons. We just need to it eliminate from our enquiries.

Another burglary adds to recent spate in town

Burglary at home in Greensward Close, Kenilworth INC 151 (24 July 2010)

Please be aware that sometime during the night of Friday 23 into Saturday 24 July offenders entered a home in Greensward Close, Kenilworth by forcing open a rear wooden framed window.

Once inside, the offenders conducted an untidy search before making off with a Wii games console, games, an X-Box and a laptop computer.

If you saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of Greensward Road during the night that you believe may be connected to this burglary please contact Kenilworth Police quoting incident number 151 of 24 July.

(Greensward Close is situated off Broomybank in the Finham Road/Dalehouse Lane area of the town)

Car Key Burglary (BMW stolen off drive) & Jewellery Burglary

Please be aware of the following burglaries which have occurred at homes in Kenilworth over recent days.

At just before 10.20pm on 18 July a witness reported 3 lads running down the road, away from a home in Littleton Close, where the intruder alarm was sounding. Two white males and one black male ran towards Fenny Lane carrying items of property.

It was then discovered that the offenders had forced open a set of French doors at the property, entered the house and stolen items of jewellery, including a Breitling watch.

At 2.55am on 19 July offenders kicked in the front door of a home in Saville Grove, Kenilworth and stole the keys to a black BMW vehicle which was then stolen from outside.

These latest events are part of an increase in the number of burglaries in the Kenilworth area so please could we ask you to all check your security arrangements, ensure that you close and secure all ground floor doors and windows when they are not in use, overnight or when leaving your home unattended.

Spate of Burglaries hits Kenilworth East

2 Burglaries in the last week in Windy Arbour & Park Hill

Between 8.30am and 1.10pm on Thursday 8 July offenders smashed the window of an integral garage at a home in Waverley Road, Kenilworth.  It is not yet clear if anything was stolen. Sometime during the 8 or 9 July offenders also entered a home in Park Hill by smashing the glass in a rear door.  It is not yet clear what was stolen.

On the Friday 9 July offenders forced open the rear door of a home in Windy Arbour, Kenilworth and stole several items. During the night of Friday 9 July into Saturday 10 July offenders entered a Volvo vehicle parked in Berkeley Road, Kenilworth and stole a set of golf clubs from the boot. During the same night offenders also entered an insecure vehicle parked in Ameherst Road, Kenilworth and stole a quantity of loose change. In addition, on the same night offenders entered a brick build garden store in the grounds of a home in Upper Spring Lane.  Several items were stolen.
