A Productive Week for Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team

It’s been a bad week for those committing crime this week in Kenilworth. Warwickshire Police’s Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) for Kenilworth and members of the Shoplifting team targeted offenders who have been committing numerous thefts in the town and surrounding areas recently.

Firstly, PC Finch and PCSO Morgan of Kenilworth’s SNT caught 2 offenders on Tuesday after trying to steal alcohol from Sainsburys, one of which was found to be wanted by other Forces in the Country for bulk thefts.

On Thursday three males stole items from retail outlets in Talisman Square, but with SNT officers and CCTV monitoring they were tracked down and after a short pursuit were arrested and remanded in custody.

On Saturday 9 March 2024 PCSO Morgan assisted at Sainsburys where a male who had committed numerous thefts in the town was arrested for assault, public order, and theft.

In addition two prolific offenders were also arrested and have been remanded in custody. Not one of the offenders was a Kenilworth resident, they have been travelling in to commit crime. Warwickshire Police have reminded everyone that if you see something that is not quite right, please call it in, it may be the missing part of a bigger picture and could be the evidence needed to apprehend those who commit crime in our Neighbourhood.
