KENILWORTH residents are being advised to avoid leaving keys in the locks of external doors to their homes or even leaving keys nearby to doors following a burglary that took place at some point before 8pm on 19 October 2017. The warning from Kenilworth Watch comes as offenders entered the rear garden of a home in Hodnet Close, Kenilworth smashed a window in an external rear door and then reached inside to open the door with a key from the lock.
Once inside the house, the offenders carried out a messy search of the bedroom before making off with several items.
