RESIDENTS of Kenilworth are advised to keep vigilance uppermost in their minds in the run up to Christmas as opportunist criminals continue to operate in and around the town. The latest incidents are as follows:
Theft
Please be aware that at approximately 14.30hrs on Monday 3 December 2018 an offender distracted an elderly individual on a mobility scooter at Smalley Place, Kenilworth (top of Warwick Road near the clock tower) by holding a map of London and asking for directions to the nearest public conveniences. The offender then removed a bank account book and £300 cash and made off.

Theft from Unattended Motor Vehicle
Please be aware that between 21.00hrs on Monday 3 December and 09.00hrs on Tuesday 4 December 2018 offenders have jemmied open the side door of a Peugeot van that was parked on the roadside at Field Close, Kenilworth. The offenders have stolen assorted hand tools and two “Makita’” drills.

Theft
Please be aware that it has become apparent that on Thursday 22 November 2018 offenders entered a building site at Park Hill, Kenilworth and stole a “Messeri Power Barrow”, a gas cylinder and other building materials. Offenders were witnessed loading a white van at this time.

Burglary
Please be aware that between Monday 19 November and Tuesday 4 December 2018 offenders have gained entry through forcing a lock on a rear ground floor window to a property at Fishponds Road, Kenilworth. Once inside the offenders have made a search of the property and have stolen a large screen TV.
