Kenilworth Watch is pleased to report that only within weeks of a similar incident, where crime was being committed and police and the community came together leading to immediate arrests being made, a similar event and successful response took place yesterday.
”It really does show how vigilance, prompt reporting and immediate response from our Safer Neighbourhood Team and other police units does make a real difference” a Kenilworth Watch spokesperson said.
On Wednesday 17 April 3 offenders entered stores in Kenilworth and took items without paying. Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team were alerted and together with other police response units conducted an immediate search of the area. Telephone calls from members of public also assisted police with the search.
Police units subsequently detected two suspects running across fields near Rouncil Lane, Kenilworth and two males were subsequently arrested on suspicion of theft.
