A very unfortunate event has taken place over the Easter period with the Cross of Witness which is always placed at the top of Abbey Hill in Kenilworth being the subject of the unwanted attention of vandals. A Kenilworth Watch News spokesperson said ” This type of mindless and despicable act does not represent the great and lovely town we live in and the caring community we are”. Kenilworth Police are investigating the matter further and details are listed below along with two other events that reinforce the need for all of us to remain alert and vigilant at all times.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Please be aware that between midday on Friday 19 April and 09.30hrs on Easter Monday 21 April 2019 offenders have taken down and smashed up the wooden cross of witness that was erected at the top of Abbey Hill at Abbey Fields, Kenilworth.

ATTEMPT THEFT
Please be aware that at around 02.30hrs on Monday 22 April 2019 offenders were disturbed on agricultural premises at Hob Lane, Kenilworth. They made off without any property being taken.

BURGLARY
Please be aware that overnight between Sunday 21 April and Monday 22 April 2019 offenders have smashed a window and entered premises on Crackley Lane, Kenilworth. Once inside the offenders smashed a vending machine.
