Keyless Motor Vehicle Theft – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between midnight and 0830hrs on Saturday 1st May 2021 a silver Mercedes GLC motor vehicle has been stolen without keys from a property situated at Beehive Hill, Kenilworth. This indicates that this incident was a keyless motor vehicle theft potentially involving the use of interception equipment.

This is incident 0069 of 1 May 2021

Owners of motor vehicles that have keyless entry and ignition systems are advised to place their keys in a signal blocking  ‘Faraday Cage’ (a metal container that prevents the signal and key being contacted by a device that thieves can use to steal keyless entry vehicles). An example is shown above (cost approx £20). Faraday pouches are also available (cost approx £8) shown below.
