WARM WEATHER and open windows overnight appear to have contributed to a spate of burglaries that have occurred across Kenilworth between Saturday evening 12 June and Sunday morning 13 June 2021.
Warwickshire Police are appealing for householders to be extra vigilant and ensure they secure ground level windows, including small windows, to avoid enabling burglars to gain entry into homes.
Burglary
Please be aware that between 2240hrs on Saturday 12 June and 0730hrs on Sunday 13 June 2021 offenders have broken into a property at Bertie Road, Kenilworth by manipulating a front window. Once inside a number of items were stolen including two computers a mobile phone and some bank cards.

Burglary
Please be aware that between 2200hrs on Saturday 12 June and 0830hrs on Sunday 13 June 2021 offenders have broken into a property atQueens Road, Kenilworth through a small gap in a front window. Once inside a number of items of property were taken and the offenders left through a patio door.

Burglary
Please be aware that overnight between Saturday 12 June and 1000hrs on Sunday 13 June 2021 offenders have broken into a property at Bridge Street, Kenilworth by access through a small window. Once inside a number of items were stolen including a laptop computer, watch and other items.

Attempted Burglary
Please be aware that between midnight and 0100hrs on Sunday 13 June 2021 a householder was disturbed by an offender trying to force open a bedroom window at a residential complex at Southbank Road, Kenilworth. As a result the offender/s ran off without gaining entry to the property.

Theft from Motor Vehicle
Please be aware that between 1900hrs on Friday 11 June and 0730hrs on Saturday 12 June 2021 offenders have entered a secure Jaguar XF motor vehicle parked on the roadside at Park Road, Kenilworth. An untidy search was made of the motor vehicle and a child’s kids play laptops were stolen from underneath the seats.

This spate of burglaries overnight highlights the need to ensure that your home is secure at all times and especially in the evening and overnight particularly in the current warm weather we are enjoying.
