Thefts from Commercial Vehicles – Kenilworth

Please be aware that a number of commercial vehicles (vans) have been broken into in Kenilworth over the past seven days (3rd to 10 April 2024). In some cases, the vehicles have been damaged with forced locks or doors and entered but without any property being taken.

In other cases, a significant number of tradesmen’s tools have been stolen along with damage to vehicles caused by the thieves gaining entry to the vehicle.

These events have happened in the evenings and overnight, and Warwickshire Police are currently investigating them. The vehicle damage and thefts from the commercial vehicles occurred at:

Albion Street, Arthur Street, Clinton Lane, Latimer Close, Oaks Road, Roseland Road, Walkers Way and Whitemoor Road – Kenilworth.

If you believe you may have seen or heard anything related to one of these incidents or have CCTV/Dashcam footage, please contact Warwickshire Police on 101. If you would prefer, you can report any information you may have about any of these incidents anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Warwickshire Police are advising commercial vehicle owners not to leave tools and valuable goods in vans overnight and to apply self-adhesive notices externally on their vehicles that advise, “No Tools or Equipment is left in this vehicle overnight.” These notices are available from Kenilworth SNT, who can be contacted by leaving a voicemail on 01926 684404.
