Keyless Vehicle Theft – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 2000hrs on 0730hrs on Thursday 20 March and 0800hrs on Friday 21 March 2025 offenders have stolen a white BMW X6 motor vehicle from the drive of a property at The Wardens, Kenilworth. The vehicle was stolen without keys indicating that the offender(s) used a keyless vehicle interception device.

This is crime reference 23/11772/25

This is the third event within a week of vehicles being targeted by thieves in Kenilworth using keyless entry interception devices. The first attempt at Priorsfield Road, failed because the vehicle owner used a Faraday Box to prevent the interception of the keyless signal from the vehicle keys. The second incident at Harlech Close and this third incident at The Wardens have succeeded, most likely because the offender(s) have been able to access the vehicle key signal using an interception device.

We provided information about how to prevent these thefts twice last week and there is a link to the advice below. Please read the advice and take steps to avoid being the next person to lose your vehicle by enabling thieves to steal it remotely.

If you think you may have seen or heard anything, have any CCTV or dashcam footage that may be related to this crime please contact Warwickshire Police on 101 or alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111

  1. How many more times?..Kenilworth is obviously being targeted by what appears to be the same gangs…for the price of a Faraday Box, why wouldn’t all owners take precautions.Otherwise this will never stop being reported on.Sent from my Galaxy
