13 yr old Arrested – Kenilworth

Whilst on patrol this evening PC Jones and PCSO Clayton on Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team stopped and spoke to a young male in the Albion Street area of Kenilworth. He was subsequently detained and searched under Section 23 Misuse Drugs Act.

No drugs were found however the individual was found to be carrying this knife.


The young male in question, aged 13, was arrested after a brief struggle.

This incident reinforces the danger that exists from individuals carrying a knife, it can lead to potentially fatal consequences. The event also demonstrates that Kenilworth’s SNT are out and about, are policing our community and are confronting those that may be breaking the law or who present a risk to our safety.

Robbery – Kenilworth

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a robbery in Kenilworth this afternoon At approximately 1400hrs (Monday 26 October).

At approximately 1400hrs a woman in her 70s was walking through the alleyway from the car park behind Iceland to Barrowfield Road, Kenilworth when a male approached her and stole her handbag.

The bag has since been recovered.

The suspect is described as white male, approx. 5’9″, of a slight build, whose face was unshaven. He was wearing a multi-coloured hat (believed to be brown or beige) and a dark-coloured bomber jacket.

PC Steven Jones from Warwickshire Police said: “This was an understandingly traumatic incident for the victim and a number of enquiries are now underway to locate the offender.

PC Jones added “If anyone witnessed the incident, any suspicious behaviour in the area or may have dashcam/CCTV footage of this location, please contact us on 101.

Burglary – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 1730hrs on Thursday 22 October and 1345hrs on Sunday 25 October 2020 offenders have smashed and broken in through some first floor rear windows of a property at Malthouse Lane, Kenilworth.  Once inside the offenders remained upstairs on the first floor and carried out an untidy search. A number of items were taken including jewellery and a laptop computer.

Abbey Fields Appeal – Kenilworth

Earlier today (Sunday 25 October 2020) Warwickshire Police were involved with an incident of multiple “off road” bikes failing to stop for police and making off from the Abbey End area of the town towards Abbey Fields.

The bikers then rode through Abbey Fields, putting families at risk, within little or no regard to their own or other people’s safety.

Warwickshire Police are appealing that if you have any CCTV, smartphone video, video or dashcam footage from approximately 1400hrs – 1415hrs in and around the Town Centre and/or Abbey Fields area of Kenilworth that you please contact Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team at: Kenilworth.snt@warwickshire.pnn.police.uk

Car Key Burglary – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 0230hrs and 0630hrs on Saturday 24 October 2020 offenders have entered a property at Beauchamp Road, Kenilworth by using an insecure small window to open a larger window. Once inside the offenders have stolen the keys to a Land Rover Freelander motor vehicle that was parked outside the property.

The silver coloured Land Rover Freelander was then stolen.
