Burglary & Theft – Kenilworth

BURGLARY

Please be aware that at around 05.30hrs on Tuesday 19 November 2019 two male offenders dressed in black hoodies and tracksuit bottoms have smashed the door window of retail premises at Whitemoor Road, Kenilworthand entered the building. They were seen running off on foot towards the ‘Black Pad’ park which is nearby.

THEFT

Please be aware that at approximately 18.15hrs on Monday 18 November 2019 two male offenders entered retail premises at Albion Street, Kenilworth and stole a quantity of confectionery from the shelves before running out and getting into a black Ford motor vehicle which then made off.

Kenilworth Christmas Lights Switch On – Temporary Road Closures

Residents and Motorists are advised that Warwick Road and High Street will be both be subject to temporary road closures in relation to the annual Christmas Lights switch on and street fair.

FRIDAY 29 NOVEMBER 2019

HIGH STREET, KENILWORTH CLOSED TO TRAFFIC BETWEEN 17.00hrs and 20.00hrs

The Christmas Lights at High Street, Kenilworth will be switched on at approximately 18.30hrs on Friday 29 November 2019. Festive food and drink stalls with traditional Christmas activities and entertainment will also take place on High Street, including an appearance from Father Christmas.


SUNDAY 1 DECEMBER 2019

WARWICK ROAD, KENILWORTH CLOSED TO TRAFFIC BETWEEN 13.00HRS AND 18.00HRS – The section of Warwick Road closed to traffic will be, between Waverley Road and Abbey End (Clock Tower). Access to and from Sainsbury’s will be maintained  

The town centre Christmas Lights switch on will take place with events and attractions at both Talisman Square and Abbey End with food, drink, novelty stalls and fairground attractions along the closed section of Warwick Road.

Residents and motorists are advised to be aware of these events and to plan, allow extra time and to use alternative routes.

Theft of Motor Vehicle – Kenilworth

Please be aware that overnight between Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November 2019 offenders have stolen a blue BMW 530 Motor Vehicle that was parked on the private drive of a property at Crackley Hill, Kenilworth.

Plumbing Materials Theft – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 16.15hrs and 16.45hrs on Thursday 14 November 2019 offenders have removed a panel of metal fencing and cut locks off storage containers at a construction site at Common Lane, Kenilworth. Having forced entry to the storage containers a quantity of plumbing materials including copper piping and radiators were stolen.

Kenilworth Ford (B4103) Remains CLOSED

Please be aware that the Ford at Kenilworth that crosses the B4103 (not the A452 as was mistakenly referred to in our previous post) remains CLOSED. More rain is forecast overnight and the Highway Authority have stated the road will be reassessed for potential re-opening tomorrow morning.

Drivers are advised that there maybe insurance implications in the event of a claim if it relates to a vehicle on road that a Highway Authority has imposed a closure upon.

Warwickshire County Council confirmed continued closure at around 16.00hrs on Friday 15 November 2019.
