Keyless Vehicle Theft, Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 2200hrs on Sunday 4 May and 0800hrs on Monday 5 May 2025 offender(s) have stolen a black Jaguar F Pace motor vehicle from a property at Ashfield Road, Kenilworth.

The vehicle was stolen without keys indicating that the offender(s) used a keyless interception device to gain access to the vehicle, start it and steal it.

Car Key Burglary and Burglary – Kenilworth

Please be aware that overnight between 0400hrs and 0500hrs on Wednesday 23 April 2025 offender(s) have snapped the locks of a rear patio door of a home at Lower Ladyes Hill, Kenilworth and entered the property. Once inside they have obtained the keys to a Range Rover (74 registered) and have stolen the vehicle.

Please be aware that overnight between Tuesday 22 April and Wednesday 23 April 2025 offender(s) have snapped the lock on rear doors of a home at Park Close, Kenilworth. Nothing was taken.

Kenilworth Watch advises all householders to give very serious consideration to fitting Anti Snap Locks to all external doors and we have also highlighted local companies and services you can get these products from or have them fitted for you. 

Kenilworth Watch advises;

  • The use of visible robust steering locks such as Milenco or Disclok.
  • Ensure any keys with a remove unlocking ability are placed in a Faraday box or pouch within the home.
  • Do not leave vehicle keys close to a front door or on show within a property.
  • Change door locks on your property to Anti Snap Locks which is a major deterrent to potential intruders
  • Consider CCTV coverage where a vehicle is parked that alerts if movement in the area is detected.
  • Fit a tracking system to the vehicle if one was not fitted when the vehicle was manufactured.

Car Key Burglary – Kenilworth

Please be aware that overnight between Monday 22 April and Tuesday 22 April 2025, offender(s) have forced the locks on a rear patio door at a property at Swift Close, Kenilworth. The offenders gained entry to the property and made an untidy search in the kitchen.

The offenders found and stole the keys to a grey coloured Mercedes AMG vehicle (22 registered) and then stole the vehicle that was parked on the drive of the property.

Arson & Criminal Damage – Kenilworth

Kenilworth Police are asking if any members of the public noticed any activity in the Glasshouse Lane area of Kenilworth at around 1800hrs on Thursday 17 April 2025.

At approximately this time a group of unknown youths climbed over a fence into a construction site where there are existing empty buildings.

One of the existing buildings was subject to criminal damage with several of its windows smashed. The building was then set on fire.

Keyless Vehicle Theft – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 2100hrs on Friday 11 April and 0600hrs on Saturday 12 April 2025 offender/s have stolen a green Land Rover Defender from a property at Waverley Road, Kenilworth.

The vehicle was stolen without keys indicating that the offender(s) used a keyless interception device to gain access to the vehicle, start it and steal it.

This is the third event within a month of vehicles being targeted by thieves in Kenilworth using keyless entry interception devices. The first attempt at Priorsfield Road, failed because the vehicle owner used a Faraday Box to prevent the interception of the keyless signal from the vehicle keys. The second event and now this one led to the theft of the vehicles concerned.
