Cash Machine Thieves start long jail terms – Kenilworth

Following investigations by Warwickshire Police and other forces and appearances at Court four men are starting long jail sentences after they were convicted of targeting cash machines across the region.

Two of the gang admitted their involvement in a burglary at a shop in Leyes Lane, Kenilworth, in September 2023. where CCTV caught them arriving in a car before they used crowbars to force entry to the shop and then used an angle grinder to cut open the cash machine. The sparks from the angle grinder caused a fire that spread to a neighbouring shop, causing more than £ 1 million of damage.


One of the gang admitted his part in a burglary at a petrol station in Wellesbourne in October 2023. Offenders used a fire extinguisher to force entry to the store and then used crowbars and cutting equipment to remove the cash machine.’

The gang have received a combined total of over 30 years in jail.
