DVLA Scam Operating

Kenilworth residents are warned that a scam is being operated by criminals pretending to be from the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA)

Hackers are impersonating the DVLA in order to gain sensitive data from unsuspecting drivers, it has emerged.
The agency warned that members of the public were receiving fraudulent emails that directs them to a fake website where the hackers steal their personal information.
The DVLA has confirmed it doesn’t send texts or emails with links to websites asking for motorists to confirm personal details or payment information.
A spokesman said: “We are aware that members of the public are receiving messages claiming to be the DVLA. Anyone getting these should delete them and not click any link.”
