Attempted Burglary – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between Monday 26 October and Saturday 7 November 2020 offenders have climbed over a gate into a garden and smashed a glass door panel and attempted to break into a property at Clarendon Road, Kenilworth. The offenders were unsuccessful in gaining entry to the property.

Burglaries – Kenilworth

Please be aware that between 17.30hrs and 1800hrs on Friday 30 October 2020 offenders have broken through a rear door and entered a property at Guy Road, Kenilworth.  Once inside the offenders have carried out an untidy search. A number of items have been stolen, including items of jewellery, a quantity of cash and a computer.

Please be aware that between 1600hrs and 2030hrs on Friday 30 October 2020 offenders have smashed and rear window and broken into a property at Dryden Close, Kenilworth. Once inside the offenders have conducted a very untidy search throughout the property and taken a number of items including a musical flutes, items of jewellery and computers.

13 yr old Arrested – Kenilworth

Whilst on patrol this evening PC Jones and PCSO Clayton on Kenilworth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team stopped and spoke to a young male in the Albion Street area of Kenilworth. He was subsequently detained and searched under Section 23 Misuse Drugs Act.

No drugs were found however the individual was found to be carrying this knife.


The young male in question, aged 13, was arrested after a brief struggle.

This incident reinforces the danger that exists from individuals carrying a knife, it can lead to potentially fatal consequences. The event also demonstrates that Kenilworth’s SNT are out and about, are policing our community and are confronting those that may be breaking the law or who present a risk to our safety.

Robbery – Kenilworth

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a robbery in Kenilworth this afternoon At approximately 1400hrs (Monday 26 October).

At approximately 1400hrs a woman in her 70s was walking through the alleyway from the car park behind Iceland to Barrowfield Road, Kenilworth when a male approached her and stole her handbag.

The bag has since been recovered.

The suspect is described as white male, approx. 5’9″, of a slight build, whose face was unshaven. He was wearing a multi-coloured hat (believed to be brown or beige) and a dark-coloured bomber jacket.

PC Steven Jones from Warwickshire Police said: “This was an understandingly traumatic incident for the victim and a number of enquiries are now underway to locate the offender.

PC Jones added “If anyone witnessed the incident, any suspicious behaviour in the area or may have dashcam/CCTV footage of this location, please contact us on 101.
