Three Charged with Kenilworth Burglaries & Attempted Burglaries

Earlier this week we reported two incidents (138 of 11 March 2019) & (246 of 12 March 2019) to you via this website and our automatic email alerts that people can sign up to.

Following on from these incidents Warwickshire Police issued the following statement on Wednesday evening (13 March 2019):

Three males from Coventry have been charged with burglary offences after they were arrested following an incident in Kenilworth on Tuesday 12 March 2019.

Twenty year old Ephraim Pepe from Milverton Road, Coventry was charged with a burglary dwelling with intent to steal in John O’Gaunt Road, Kenilworth on 12 March 2019.  He is currently scheduled to appear before Leamington Spa Magistrates Court on 10 April 2019.

Two 16 year old males from Coventry have also been charged with a burglary dwelling with intent to steal in John O’Gaunt Road, Kenilworth on 12 March 2019.  The 16 year olds who cannot be named for legal reasons, were remanded in custody overnight to appear before Leamington Magistrates Court on 13 March where they were released on conditional police bail with strict conditions including not to enter Warwickshire, not to contact each other and with an overnight curfew between 5pm and 5am. They are next scheduled to appear before Coventry Magistrates Court on 21 March 2019.

One of the 16 year old males was also charged with an attempted burglary with intent to steal on 11 March 2019 in Warwick Road, Kenilworth.

Did you see anything at either of these events earlier this week?  If so, Police are appealing for any witnesses to either alleged attempted burglaries to please contact Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 246 of 12 March (John O’Gaunt Road) or 138 of 11 March (Warwick Road).  Information can also be provided anonymously by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
