CRIME ALERT – FURTHER BURGLARIES – Redthorne Grove & Lower Ladyes Hill Kenilworth

NHW WK Burglaries at homes in Redthorne Grove and Lower Ladyes Hills, Kenilworth on 15 August
You may already be aware that there has been a series of burglaries in Kenilworth between 6 August and today.  Many of these burglaries have been in the Park Hill area and may be the work of one offender.
In each of the burglaries the offender has smashed windows or patio doors and has stolen televisions and other items.  The burglaries are happening between 8am and 5.30pm and may be linked to a suspicious incident on 24 July when a white male in his 30’s was disturbed as he tried to enter a home also in the same area, via a kitchen window.  It is possible that the offender is using a small silver hatchback vehicle.
The latest two burglaries are as follows:
Incident 254 of 15 August
Between 8am and 4.30pm on 15 August offenders broke a ground floor window at a home in Redthorne Grove, Kenilworth and entered the premises.  Once inside, the offenders stole several items.
Incident 369 of 15 August

Between 9.30am and 6.30pm also yesterday, 15 August, offenders forced open the kitchen window of a home in Lower Ladyes Hills and then climbed into the house.  This activated the intruder alarm and the offender quickly made off.  Nothing was stolen.
We need your help to catch this offender.  Please could you be alert and actively on the lookout for suspicious persons or activity around your own or neighbouring homes, particularly if you live in the Park Hill area.  If you spot anything that you feel is odd or suspicious then it probably is as you will know the comings and goings around your immediate vicinity, therefore, please dial 101 and report what you have seen.  If you believe that a burglary is in progress then please dial 999.  Thankyou.

Burglaries in Kenilworth

Please be aware of the following incidents which have occurred at homes in Kenilworth over recent days:
Incident 211 of 3 August
Between 31 July and 3 August offenders smashed the rear door of a home in Lindsey Crescent, Kenilworth and entered the house to steal several personal items.
Incident 226 of 6 August
Between 8.30am and 4pm on 6 August offenders entered a home in Highland Road, Kenilworth through a patio door.  Once inside the house, the offenders conducted an untidy search before stealing a laptop computer and a back pack containing hair straighteners.
Incident 235 of 7 August
Between 9am and 5.20pm on 7 August offenders kicked in the front door of a home in Rawnsley Drive, Kenilworth and then entered the house.  Once inside, the offenders stole a television, an IPad andthe spare keys for a BMW vehicle.  The vehicle was left in situ.
Incident 142 of 11 August
Between 8.30am on 10 and 9am on 11 August offenders stole a union flag and an olympic flag which were on poles in the front garden of a home in Southbank Road, Kenilworth.
Incident 290 of 11 August

Between 11.30am and 4.30pm on 11 August offenders stole a high seat ladder with a wood seat and cage from the front lawn of a home in Mayfield Drive, Kenilworth.

School Lane and Tainters Hill – Late July Burglaries

Please be aware that criminals are still visiting Kenilworth and looking for any opportunities. We apologise for the late notice of these events but the delay is beyond our control.
Incident (199/240712) in School Lane, Kenilworth 
Between 16 and 20 July offenders entered a secure home in School Lane, Kenilworth and stole a quantity of cash from a safe in the bedroom.
Incident (401/270712) at Tainters Hill, Kenilworth
At some point before 8.30pm on 27 July offenders forced open the rear door of a home in Tainters Hill, Kenilworth.  Once inside, the offenders stole several items.

Kenilworth Post Office Burglary – 20 July 2012

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that occurred at the Post Office in Oaks Precinct, Kenilworth at around 2.25am early morning of Friday 20 July.

Early witness reports indicate that a car pulled up near the Post Office and three males got out leaving one male in the vehicle.

The burglars damaged an ATM at the Post Office, stealing a quantity of cash. The thieves also stole a til and this was later found in Rouncil Lane on the corner with Sovereign Court in Kenilworth.

Officers believe the thieves may have stopped in Rouncil Lane to try and open the til and when they were unsuccessful abandoned it.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses who believe they may have seen the thieves in the early hours of this morning, to please come forward by contacting the Local Investigation team on 01926 415000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Computers and IPads targeted in Kenilworth over late June

Please see below details that have just been received in one message that set out a number of events that have taken place towards the end of June. Crown Watch apologises for the untimely nature of these but if we do not receive them from the police we cannot post them on the site. Please try to remember back to the dates in question and consider if you saw anything suspicious, if so, please report it to 101.
Incident 88 of 23 June
Between 1.30 and 7.30am on 23 June offenders entered a home in Swift Close, Kenilworth and stole the keys to two vehicles along with mobile phones and an IPad.  Both vehicles were then stolen from the driveway.
Incident 308 of 26 June
At some point before 7.10pm on 26 June offenders entered a home in School Lane, Kenilworth and stole an IPod docking station from a wardrobe.
Incident 227 of 26 June
At just before 3.30pm on 26 June a young male and a female, aged around 30, were knocking doors in High Street, Kenilworth and trying to sell Tupperware.  The male called at the home of an elderly lady and was invited in.  Once inside, the male stole the ladies purse.
Incident 83 of 28 June

During the night of 27 into 28 June offenders broke into a home in Clinton Lane, Kenilworth through a French door.  Once inside, the offenders stole a Dell laptop computer, a powerpoint projector, 2 cameras and docking stations and a Prada mobile phone.
